Little Bit of 40 Days Processing

This has been the ending of a very hard week, with my frustration level at an all time high. It wasn't until yesterday that I was even willing to hear what God might have to say about everything. Amazingly (not really!) He actually spoke a few things yesterday and I thought it would be a good idea to post them for posterity:

First off - We went up for prayer at the end of the Mad City church service yesterday and it was really good just to get some personal ministry and prayer. Two things stuck out to me that God was saying
1) Psalm 27:13-14 "I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
2) God's faithfulness does not depend on our faithfulness

Secondly - we had a 40 Days prayer meeting yesterday afternoon and there were a few things that God said
1) Katie saw popcorn kernels popping and felt that some of the encouraging things that have been happening lately, like Steve's job, Dale's job, and the adoption court date, were the first few kernels popping, but that these were only the beginning and there were many more kernels that were going to pop, and at a faster pace
2) Jenny felt that we needed to remember to thank God for all of the things that he has done rather than focusing on what we feel He hasn't done.

So, I can't say that these things completely got me out of my own funk, but I love hearing what God has to say!

The Madison Vineyard Group has been on my heart these past few days and I feel God's lifting you all for good things to come sooner than later.

Father, I bring to Your feet Madison Vineyard for Your almighty blessings and protection. We ask for Your Angels of Mercy to surround their wings around this fellowship keeping all demons of negativity from trying to plant themselves. We ask for You to bring lost souls, those who feel forsaken, forlorn and, or even scared of reaching out to anyone. We have the warriors in place to rescue each one of them with Your word. Please, Lord, we pray for a venue to come available for Your seeds of worship and praise to grow. We know it is in Your time we will see the buds of the fruit to come from it, the branches to extend with Your goodness, Your mercy, Your love and Your compassion. Each vine will reach beyond measure with Your patience, Your tolerance, Your goodness, Your kindness and Your heart, Heavenly Father.
We ask for each member of the Madison church to find in Your time what is needed in their lives such as jobs, homes and the like. Please keep them safe in their travels. Please keep their spirits positive, their faith strong and their hearts filled with the joy of song. Father God, we are truly grateful for the forgiving of our sins, when all we have to do is ask. No sin is too terrible. You are a forgiving God and by the shedding of Your blood, You have washed away all of our sins. We thank You, Lord, for all our blessings. You are worthy of our praise and worship. Bless this Madison Vineyard Church with many new followers who are willing to help it grow new roots and continue to praise Your name. We ask and pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
